4.8 Billion Birr Raised, 290 Schools Built in Central Ethiopia

The Education for Generation campaign in the Central Ethiopia region has collected 4.8 billion birr and built 290 schools, the regional education bureau said at the region's third education conference, under way in Hosaena.

Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics launched a digital application that lets customers reach its services from where they are, at any hour. Chief Executive Abdulber Shemsu (Eng.) said the application is intended to make services faster and more accessible, correct existing gaps and increase the country's benefit from the sector.

For an enterprise whose customer interactions have run through offices and counters, moving the transaction to a phone is the change; whether the underlying clearance times move with it is a separate measurement.

Public health

Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh visited the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, saying that protecting public health is the foundation of lasting national prosperity, and that the aggregate result of public health work is a productive population effective in every sector it works in.

Nebiyu Tedla, Ethiopia's ambassador to India, told DD India that BRICS has opened new opportunities for Africa in finance, technology and economic transition, and gives African countries a route to strengthen trade ties with the bloc's emerging economies.
