Mandhana Hit 124 off 64 and Became Women's Cricket's Leading Run-Scorer

India's Smriti Mandhana became the all-time leading run-scorer in women's international cricket, hitting 124 from 64 balls against Hong Kong in India's second Group A match of the Women's T20 Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium. India made 193-5 and won by 137 runs. Mandhana, 30, now has 10,880 runs, and made her India debut in 2013.

Monaco, reversed

McLaren and Red Bull won their appeals against the result of the Monaco Grand Prix, after a controversy over multiple incorrect pit-lane speeding penalties. Pierre Gasly loses the podium Alpine had won him on appeal and drops from third to seventh in the revised classification.

A result that has changed twice through the stewards' room is a strange thing to leave in a record book, and it is where the season's points now stand.

Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios is eligible to return to tennis after accepting a one-month ban for testing positive for cocaine. The Australian, 31, was provisionally suspended on 4 August after a sample given during the Mallorca Open in June contained benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite. He told International Tennis Integrity Agency investigators he had used cocaine at a nightclub in Magaluf.

West Ham

Daniel Kretinsky has agreed a deal to take a 46% stake in West Ham, making him the club's largest shareholder. The agreement is with the remaining shareholders including former chairman David Sullivan, over the 25% held by the Gold family, and it leaves Sullivan — who resigned as chairman in June — with a larger stake than before. It also ends, for now, Amanda Staveley's hopes of investing in the club.

Transfers

Gabriel Martinelli completed his £60m move from Arsenal to Al-Hilal on a four-year deal, seven years after joining the Gunners from Ituano. Arsenal signed France defender De Almeida from PSG. Chelsea's summer closed with 39 departures.
