The Foreign Ministry Is Hiring 100 Attachés at 12,566 Birr a Month, and Asking for No Experience at All

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advertised 100 attaché positions at a monthly salary of 12,566 birr, open to applicants holding a bachelor's degree in any field with no work experience required. The application window is seven consecutive working days.

Applications can be submitted in person at the ministry's new building, fourth floor, office 401, or through an online registration form.

A hundred people at once. That is a large single intake for a diplomatic service, and it implies either significant expansion or significant attrition. Which of those it is has not been stated.

A degree in any field. No requirement for international relations, law, languages or economics. Read plainly, the ministry is recruiting for aptitude and training afterwards rather than for a specific academic background.
